Hummus is Yummus

About to enjoy my first bite of homemade hummus!

Food puns aside - I’m a huge fan of hummus! My hummus obsession is known wide and far by my friends and family, in fact last year my co-workers gave me an assortment of hummus instead of a cake (I loved it!). Continuing in the quarantine cooking spirit of being home, I finally decided to try my hand at making hummus using this recipe from Inspired Taste. An added bonus was that this recipe was simple and easy to make with what I had in my pantry.

If you haven’t tried hummus or aren’t a big fan, let me a-peel to your senses if you’re looking for an easy, tasty snack (see what I did there #punny). Hummus is my favorite savory snack - It’s low calorie, high in protein and you can dip almost anything in it (carrots / tomatoes / cucumbers are my go to’s and pita and pretzels are pretty great too). Plus it’s great for adding protein to a salad or as a bit of creamy tang on a wrap or sandwich. IMHO Hummus is the MVP of snacks and spreads alike!

Here’s a quick video rundown of my hummus making experience:
